How to Play Snake
Turn toward each food item without hitting a wall or your own body. Direct reversals are blocked, so every turn must leave space for the head and the longer tail that follows it.
Controls
- Use the arrow keys or WASD to change direction.
- Swipe on the game board or use the on-screen D-pad on mobile.
- Press Space or Escape to pause.
Scoring and Leaderboard
Each food item adds 10 points and one body segment. The movement interval starts at 150 milliseconds, becomes 10% faster after every five food items, and bottoms out at 50 milliseconds.
You can play without an account. Score submission asks only for player initials.

Snake Tips
Leave room to turn
Avoid following the outer wall too tightly when your tail is close behind.
Plan two moves ahead
Approach food from a direction that leaves an open path after the snake grows.
Use the whole board
Long sweeping paths are safer than tight loops once the snake becomes large.
